Job description

We are seeking a full-time, permanent, Registered Service Manager close to the York area of North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a Residential Home for young adults living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Visual Impairments.

  • Up to £33K per annum (£17.10 per hour).
  • Full-time, 37-hours per week including some weekends on rota basis.

This job vacancy is approximately a 45-minute commute from York via the A168 & A95. It may also suit candidates living in other nearby locations in North Yorkshire such as Harrogate, Thirsk, Sowerby, Boroughbridge, and Wetherby.

The Provider

We are recruiting on behalf of a family company who currently own a portfolio of 13 residential services, and they support around 85 residents aged over 18. Founded around 20-years ago, our client offers new homes to adults to help them take the next step in their lives and to live as independently as possible. The leadership team have extensive backgrounds in the healthcare and charity sectors and are very much driven by the positive ethos of helping people to live life with dignity, and opportunity, not allowing disability to be any barrier.   

The Home

As their Registered Service Manager, you will oversee a 10-bedded home for young adults. The home is situated in over an acre of beautiful land and is an idyllic place to work. The home currently has 8 residents living at the home and is rated Good by CQC in all areas, testament to the work their dedicated team do. There are spacious lounges where residents can relax, and the home is decorated to a high standard. There are always lots of activities going on bringing lots of smiles and laughter, located close to local amenities also means there’s lots of opportunities for residents to access the local community.


  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care – Leadership & Management, willing to work towards Level 5.
  • Experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism & Challenging Behaviours.
  • Ideally minimum 3-years’ experience as Senior/Supervisor/Deputy.
  • Willing to work weekends on rota basis.
  • Car Drivers preferred.
