Job Description

We are looking for a Children’s Support Worker to join an award-winning children’s residential provider.

Location: Hexham, Northumberland.

This job is based in Cumbria and is approximately 50-minute commute from Northumberland.

Salary: £10.00 - £11.50 per hour DOE + £62.40 per sleep.

Job Type: Full-time, 42-hours per week. 2 on, 2 off shift pattern.

We are recruiting on behalf a unique, award-winning, Children’s Residential provider who are totally focussed on positive outcomes, looking forward, and changing children’s lives for the better. They have residential homes across the Carlisle area and each home is either rated as Outstanding or Good by OFSTED. This is testament to the wonderful services they have created, and each children’s home is decorated beautifully and has outstanding facilities.

As Support Worker, you will support children who have suffered early childhood trauma and abuse. The children are settled and display very little challenging behaviours. You will be key in providing bespoke care and support and creating a safe environment where the young people can flourish. Experience is preferred, but not essential. Car Drivers preferred due to the location of the services.

Your Role

As their Residential Support Worker, you will provide a high standard of care to vulnerable children. You will encourage the young people to participate in outdoor activities, always making yourself aware to the signs of distress or abuse and ensure the young people are monitored and protected. You will motivate the young people to take an active part in decision making and to be involved in the design and delivery of the care they receive.  You will play a major part in shaping a child’s future and helping them achieve their goals and full potential.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working within a Residential Children’s Home
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care Children & Young People (or equivalent)
  • The flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evening, and sleep-ins.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to take part in outdoor activities.
  • Age 21 years or over*

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire.

Salary: £11.30 per hour (£27,029.60 per annum) + benefits.                       

Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 46-hours per week on rolling rota, 8pm – 8am.

Registered Children's Home Manager

We are recruiting for a Registered Children’s Home Manager to join an organisation who provide residential care for young people living with Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD).

Location: Preston, Lancashire.

This job is located about a 30-minute commute from Preston and may also be suitable for candidates living close to Lancaster.
