Full-time, permanent job vacancy, Learning & Development Manager (Learning Disabilities), close to Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. 

The role is based in the Newark-on-Trent area of Nottinghamshire, or you can be home based. However, you would need some flexibility to travel to our services in different parts of the UK when required, and regular visits to the Newark office will also be required.

Our CEO has over 25-years’ experience at all levels of care delivery, starting as a Support Worker, moving into Senior/Management roles before becoming CEO. She understands what it takes to provide excellent care to the most vulnerable people in society.

Your Role

Due to our continued growth and the need for our services, we are constantly opening new developments. Great support can only commence with thorough training and development of our team. As our Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development, delivery, and compliance within our services. Your main duties will include:

  • Manage & develop the Learning & Development Coordinator.
  • Review internal processes & implement automation where possible.
  • Oversee all training ensuring services are delivering the training programmes in line with the standards.
  • Ensure compliance in statutory and mandatory training requirements.
  • Spend time in services and attend operational meetings.

Key Information & Criteria

  • £30K - £35K per annum DOE.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Car Allowance - £3,600.
  • Experience in Adult Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health – essential.
  • Experience in planning and delivering training within the care sector – essential.
  • DET/DTLLS qualification or equivalent (or working towards) – essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of statutory & mandatory training requirements within the care sector.
  • Excellent leadership skills & proven track record of managing a team.
  • Driving licence – essential.
