We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Quality & Compliance Manager close to the Nottingham area of Nottinghamshire to work for a rather special and unique organisation.

Location

This Quality & Compliance Manager job can be remote working but some travel may be required to one of our sites based in Lincolnshire, Kent, Essex, or London. The role would therefore be ideal for anyone living close to any of those areas.

Key Information

  • £34K - £38K per annum DOE.
  • Full-time, 37-hours per week.

    We are looking for a Support Worker with domestic violence and abuse (DVA) experience to join our team in Ealing.     In this role your main responsibilities will include:

    - To promote and implement Housing for Women’s policies and procedures.

    To be successful in this role you will need:

    - Experience of delivering support to adults from diverse backgrounds and with mixed abilities and complex needs in a supported environment; preferably in Domestic Violence Abuse (DVA) refuges or community based setting.
    - Demonstrable experience of undertaking individual assessments including risk assessments and developing and delivering support plans.
    - Understanding of local and national approaches to tackling domestic abuse including MARAC, child protection, social and voluntary services approaches/involvement.
    - Demonstrable knowledge of strategies to empower service users to address issues of DVA.

    The Institute of Inner City Learning (IICL), part of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David seeks to appoint Hourly Paid Lecturers in Health and Social Care at its Birmingham Campus (BC). The primary delivery mode is face-to-face on campus, however you should be prepared to engage in online and distance delivery due to the pandemic.  

    -THE ROLE-

    We seek academics from a range of backgrounds (Nursing, Medicine, Social Work, Sociology, Public Policy, and any other relevant disciplines), but would particularly welcome those who have previous experience in non-traditional or widening access delivery at HE level (or FE level with additional relevant HE experience). Please note the role may include weekend delivery.

    Main duties will include:

    • Deliver teaching, learning and assessments, as well as provide support to students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level of study, either individually or as a member of a teaching team.
    • Deliver teaching and learning strategies in a variety of contexts, such as, online or blended learning teaching and learning, seminar and small group tutorials to large-group lectures, workshops and/or placements, using appropriate and engaging teaching and learning styles, within an established programme of study.
    • Be involved in the design and development of high-quality teaching and learning material, sharing information/material on the University’s Virtual Learning Environment, develop strategies for formative and summative assessments, and develop assessment criteria, following the relevant quality assurance requirements.
    • Supervise the work of students in a timely, professional and supportive manner, providing necessary advice on study skills, research methods, assessment and dissertation work.
    • Offer appropriate advice, feedback, support, and encouragement to students, in both an academic and personal tutor role, to ensure a high-quality student experience.

    You should also have:

    • Experience in teaching and supporting students from diverse backgrounds
    • Experience in the design and development of module content, learning material, and assessments
    • Demonstrable organisational and personal management skills
    • Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills with evidence of a commitment to team working and teaching
    • IT proficiency and experience of using e-resources including a willingness to teach by video-link, VLE, e-mail or online delivery
    • Evidence of ability to balance competing pressures of teaching, scholarship, research, administrative demands and deadlines

    This role is set within a lovely, Dementia Care Home for older adults. The role is a short 8-minute walk from Walthamstow Central (Victoria underground line) and 8-minutes from Wood Street overground stations. There are also nearby bus services that stop close to the home (service numbers 212, 55, 69 & 97). There is also on-site parking for car drivers.

    Key Information & Criteria

    • £10.00 - £12.00 per hour.
    • Monday – Friday, 7am – 2pm (35-hours per week).
    • Level 2 Food Hygiene – essential.
    • Ideally experienced in creating pureed diet.
    • Excellent technical cooking skills & experience creating varied, balanced menus.

    The Role

    As their Chef/Cook, you will play a vital role in providing the nutritional needs that are so important to the residents’ well-being at his 22-bedded Residential Home. There are no other kitchen staff team, so it is imperative that you work well on your own. Good food makes everyone feel better, so the role of the kitchen is vital in keeping residents well-nourished and happy. The role will also involve:

    • Preparing meals using fresh ingredients to the highest standards.
    • Ensuring resident nutritional needs are met adhering to dietary requirements.
    • Developing varied, balanced, and wholesome menus.
    • Ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen & storage areas.
    • Adhering to the food hygiene & COSHH regulations.
    • Ensuring stock levels are optimised.
