Job description

Dementia Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. No experience required as excellent training/induction provided.

You would be working within our family run care home. The job is ideal for anyone with an enthusiasm for helping others, a caring nature, and anyone who is looking to work for guaranteed hours (instead of zero hours contracts).

The role is a short 13-minute commute from the centre of Shrewsbury (13-minutes/4miles via the A458) and can be reached by the Arriva Midlands X5 bus service.

Key Information

  • CQC Rated Good.
  • Full or Part-Time, Bank Work also available.
  • Days £10.20 per hour (Without experience), £10.65 per hour (With Level 2)
  • Nights £10.70 per hour (Without experience), £11.15 per hour (With Level 2)
  • 6- or 12-Hour Shifts Days, Nights are 12 Hour Shifts.
  • Full Induction & Training Provided.
  • Paid DBS, 10% Sainsbury’s or Tesco’s & Other high street discounts.

The Home

This home is well established and is home to 78 residents across different buildings, each focusing on different specialisms of care. Across the three areas they provide complex care, older people’s residential & Nursing Care, Palliative and Dementia Care. They have a very innovative approach to Dementia care which aims to reduce stress & anxiety and ensure that they tailor the care to the individual based on their background and life history.

As a Dementia Support Worker, you will be valued for your work by residents, their families, and the management team. The CEO knows all the team and will always listen to you, your ideas, and your concerns.
