Full-time & Part-time, job vacancy, Care Worker & Companion, Langport, Somerset.

We are looking for Care Worker & Companions for the Street, Somerton, Glastonbury, Langport and surrounding areas of Somerset. No Experience is needed, although you do need to be a car driver. There are no age restrictions to apply, we welcome applications from all ages and previous backgrounds.

  • £10.50- £11.00 per hour early mornings 7am – 09:00).
  • £9.00 - £9.50 per hour 09:00 – 18:00 Monday – Friday.
  • £10.50 - £11.00 per hour evenings (18:00 – 22:00).
  • £10.50 per hour Saturdays, £10.75 - £11.25 per hour Sundays.
  • Double Time Bank Holidays.
  • 35p per mile mileage allowance.

Your Role

The nature of the work of the work is to provide care and support to adults living in their own homes. Because all their clients are unique, their needs do vary. One client may need one visit a week to others needing support every day. So, no two clients are the same, the same applies to the care/support that they need. The role can include:

  • Helping someone with their morning routine
  • Assisting with personal care.
  • Planning and preparing of well-balanced meals.
  • Assisting someone to take their medication.
  • Collect prescriptions or get a bit of shopping.

This can be discussed further at interview. We feel it is important to discuss the role in more detail once you have applied because there is so much more to care than people realise, and we can also answer any questions you may have.
