Job description

We are looking for an Interim Service Manager (Supported Living) close to the Weston-super-Mare area of North Somerset. This is a fixed-term contract for 9-12 months to cover maternity leave.

The job vacancy may suit candidates living in nearby locations such as Bristol, Nailsea, Portishead, or other nearby surrounding areas.

  • £33,828.42 per annum (includes annual allowances).

The Provider

We are recruiting on behalf of a registered charity established in the 1970s, starting off with just one service. Since then, they have grown and now support more than 2000 individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and acquired brain injuries in Supported Living services and their own homes. They have more than 3,500 employees all sharing the same vison; creating a society that allows people with Learning Disabilities, Mental and Physical needs to have the same opportunities and to live their lives without any barriers in place. They will always fight for the best outcomes for the people they support.

Your Role

As the Service Manager, you will oversee 3 Supported Living services across the North Somerset area for adults living with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. You will lead 17 members of a team and help continue to lead good practice, develop excellent support in service, and provide management support. A key part of your role will be to maintain their high standards and continue to build strong relationships. There is a great culture of support at this organisation starting from the Senior Management team. Their staff have been their long term due to the outstanding values but also, they all love what they do.


  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with adults with complex needs/disabilities.
  • Experience in Manager/Senior/Supervisory role essential. 
  • Car Driver essential.
