Job description

Full-time, permanent job vacancy, Senior Support Worker, close to Bath, Somerset.

The role is approximately a 15-minute commute from the centre of Bath via the A36. It may also suit candidates living close to Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge, and nearby locations.

We are recruiting on behalf of a provider who supports adults living with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours. Our Senior Support Worker job could be ideal for a Support Worker who is ready for the next step in their career and who shares those values.

Key Information

  • £10.80 per hour.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week including some evenings, weekends & sleep-ins.
  • Travel to work, cycle to work or season ticket loan.
  • Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3500 retailers.
  • Fully paid training & access to nationally recognised qualifications.
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent, preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities - essential.

Your Role

As the Senior Support Worker, you will be part of a fantastic Supported Living service supporting two young gentlemen to live their lives as independently as possible. They have varied interests and a very busy calendar. Your role will also include:

  • Supporting a staff team with the day to day running of the service.
  • Mentoring new and existing team.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant documentation.
  • Ensuring good practice is adhered to & cascaded throughout the service.
  • Providing support to service users.
