Job description

We are seeking a full-time, permanent, Regional Manager (Learning Disabilities), to oversee Residential/Supported Living service in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

This job vacancy is also commutable from Wakefield, Sheffield, Doncaster, Castleford, Pontefract, Rotherham, Sheffield & Leeds due to its proximity to the M1, M62 & A1 (M) Motorway network.

  • £40K - £45K per annum DOE.
  • 33 Days Annual leave
  • Monday – Friday 37.5 Hours per week but must be prepared to be flexible.
  • Part of the on-call team.
  • Strong background within Adult Learning Disabilities Services - essential.
  • Level 5 Health & Social Care – Leadership & Management – essential.
  • Strong leadership experience – essential.

This is an exciting time to be joining this organisation as they have recently gone through a period of very positive changes. They currently own a portfolio of 8 services for adults living with Learning Disabilities and they have plans to open new services in the future.

Your Role

As their Regional Manager (Learning Disabilities), you will oversee a Supported/Residential Accommodation Service for 20 individuals with Learning Disabilities. It is larger than usual, hence why your leadership and managerial skills are key. The people that they support are all very settled individuals. As a service they would be very selective in terms of anyone new service users coming into the home and ensure that the home is the right fit for everyone. The staff team are fantastic, and you would be supported by 2 Assistant Managers, as well as Senior Support Workers and a great team of Support Workers. Could you….

  • Provide operational management, leadership, and mentorship to the service?
  • Act as Registered Manager for the service ensuring the level of support is always of a high-quality?
  • Be a strong leader of people, an influencer and manage a large service?
  • Bring about change, but also be open to positive change yourself?
