A True Story

Many experienced Care Assistants join our team from other care providers because they hear about the way we work…. We are immensely differently! We recently had an experienced Care Assistant join us, who had been working for another local Homecare provider and she was tired and exhausted, doing short visits so had not time to spend with her client, but she still loved caring for others. Luckily for us she had heard great things about us. Since Jenny joined us, she looks better in herself, she has more colour in her cheeks, she loves our hour-long care calls and loves her job so much and is so grateful she made the move.  Jenny’s experiences will resonate with so many Care Assistants just like you.

Great benefits we offer our team….

  • £10.00 - £10.50 per hour, £22.00 per hour on bank holidays.
  • Paid call to call travel time & 23p per mile mileage.
  • Permanent contract, Guaranteed minimum hours available.
  • £100 retention bonus after 12-weeks.
  • Rewards for service length.
  • Average of 1-hour visits so you’re not rushed.
  • Minimum 15-minutes travel time so you can arrive safely & on-time.
  • We will keep you as close to home as possible & you’ll see the same regular clients.
  • Free DBS check, pension scheme, regular team meetings & social events.
  • Fully funded Diplomas in Health & Social Care & City & Guilds accredited Dementia training.
  • Employee Assistance programme – we look after you too.

It is a pleasure knowing there are people like you that love nothing more than caring for others and brightening someone’s day. After all, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone smile and making their lives that bit easier, sometimes by doing the simplest of things.

    Caring in your Community

If you live in communities of Bath, Bradford Upon Avon, Corsham, Chippenham, Melksham, and surrounding areas of Somerset & West Wiltshire we would love to welcome you to the team.

    Who will I support?

You will be carefully matched and introduced to the person you will be supporting, and you will share a great relationship together.  Your visits will never be rushed, and they are never less than an hour, meaning you spend quality time with the person we match you with.  Because you get to know one another well, the care that you would provide is never awkward, just natural.

As a Community Care and Dementia Companion, the Care & Support an individual requires varies greatly, after all everyone is unique!  All our clients vary from being very independent, to some that need much more care and support.

“I worked as a Teacher for many years, but as I reached retirement age, I still wanted to work in the community. I discovered this organisation four years ago – not soon enough! I love my job, its part-time, so I have plenty of time to spend with my Grandchildren. I have a small number of clients, who have become good friends. I cannot believe I get to do this as “a job”! My client visits vary, some are housebound, and I offer them support within their home, do a food shop for them, and keep the home tidy. One of my ladies likes me to run her a bath, help her get in and out and wash her hair. One client just enjoys my company, and we have tea and cake and a good natter. I have a client, who I support with his journey living with dementia, we spend lots of time reminiscing and singing. I help keep him safe at home and prepare his meals.” Sue, Community Care & Dementia Companion.
