Deputy Children’s Home Manager

£31K per annum + bonus
 

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager close to the centre of Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a permanent, full-time job vacancy.

The role is approximately 15 minutes from the centre of Birmingham via the B4125 road, and it may also suit candidates living close to West Bromwich, Smethwick, Dudley, Halesowen, and surrounding areas.

  • £31K per annum.
  • Annual bonus scheme.
  • Flexible, full-time hours, office & shift work (will involve weekend work and sleeps but will be discussed at interview).

The Provider & The Home

We are recruiting on behalf of an independent organization specializing in providing residential care and support for children and Young People aged 10-18 who may have challenging behaviours, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Autism or ADHD. They may also have suffered neglect, trauma, sexual exploitation, or abuse. Our client has extremely high standards of care and the children are at heart of everything they do, and the motivation is to give them the best possible future, which every child deserves.

As their Deputy Manager, you will oversee a small 3 bedded children’s home which currently looks after 3 children living with EBD. The children are very settled and have been living at the home for over 3-years. There is also an excellent staff team in place to help support you in your role. We are not looking for just a Deputy Manager, we are looking for a leader, someone that will inspire the staff team and ultimately deliver the best care & support to the children they support.

Criteria

  • You will hold minimum Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children & Young People.
  • You will have previous Deputy/Senior/Supervisor experience within a Children’s residential setting.
  • You will have thorough knowledge & understanding of OFSTED requirements and legislation.
  • It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence.
