Registered Childrens Home Manager

£50K - £60K per annum DOE + relocation package + car allowance
 

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Registered Children’s Home Manager to oversee a 5-bedded home for children aged 11-18.

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands.

Salary: £50K per annum starting salary + bonus (increasing to £60K per annum) + relocation bonus.

The job is based in Preston, Lancashire, but there is an £8K relocation package available. Initially you will take registration and mentor the Deputy Manager to take over registration after 18-months while you progress into an Operations role and oversee several homes.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time hours.

We are recruiting on behalf of a small provider which means that they put the children at the forefront of everything they do. It also means that a robust team will always fully support you. You are surrounded by a team who are all ready to support each other.

The home has recently been renovated to a high standard and as Registered Manager you will be autonomous in your role. The children you support are living with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and you will be key in helping them grow into young adults. You will manage the referral process, manage the budget, and mentor the staff team.

Criteria

  • Experience of working with Children in a Residential Care Home – essential.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare – essential.
  • Within the last five years, worked for at least 2 years in Deputy Manager job or above.
  • Worked for at least one year in a role requiring supervision and management.

Childrens Residential Team Leader

We are seeking a Children’s Residential Team Leader to join a Children’s Home supporting children with Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), Learning Disabilities, and Autism.

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands.

We have several Team Leader vacancies across the West Midlands area, so the roles may also suit candidates living in areas such as Sutton Coldfield, West Bromwich, or Dudley.

Salary: £12.00 per hour + £50 per sleep.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent job, shift pattern.

As Team Leader, you play a key role in a small residential home for children. You will play a key role in providing care and support, supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers, but more importantly, you will enrich a child’s life, create a safe environment, and help the children achieve a bright, positive future.

Criteria

  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience as Support Worker or Senior in a Children’s residential setting.
  • Experience of working with children with SEBD/Learning Disabilities/Mental Health conditions.
  • Driving Licence – preferred, but not essential.
