Service Manager

Your role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to join our inspiring and friendly team at our Wiltshire Service.

Your role will be a permanent position working from our Community Service in Wiltshire. You will work full-time, 35 hours per week with a salary of £25,690.03 to £28,879.59. You can read more about the rewards you will receive on the full advert on our website.

The team is dedicated to delivering a high-quality service that focuses on supporting individuals to achieve goals. The aim is to improve lives and support independence for those living with a mental illness. The team will engage with other local providers to ensure a clear and seamless pathway for those that require support from multiple providers. The team includes the service manager who will be responsible for the oversight of the service and well-being of staff. Inclusion coaches will work with individuals to support achieving goals in the most efficient and supportive way using our unique community framework support plan. Digital tech officers will support our digital offerings including Clic and social media sites. We have a dedicated co-production facilitator to support co-production through all of our development. Also, we will have a volunteer and peer support officer who will support development and training needs for anyone that wishes to become a peer or volunteer with us at Rethink Mental Illness.

How will you make a difference?

- Lead and develop teams to deliver forward-thinking, recovery-orientated and high-quality services that meet the needs of individuals and commissioners
- Ensure that effective two-way communications are in place and teams are kept fully informed of national and local developments
- Ensure that the tools of person-centred recovery planning (ISSP) are embedded into local practice and that all staff are utilising RIS (Rethink Information System) correctly to record support activities
- Drive compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements, whilst striving to achieve the best possible outcomes and internal/external recognition of quality
- Ensure safeguarding awareness is integrated into practice
- Ensure all staff are supported and developed through on-the-job coaching, individual supervision, group supervision and appraisals, identifying and promptly addressing learning and development needs
- Use staff resources efficiently and effectively, including the management of rotas, additional hours, use of bank/agency and compliance with working time regulations
- Champion innovation and lead the implementation of enhancements to My Services
- Identify and enable meaningful opportunities for user involvement in shaping services

Who I am?

- Experience of managing a service in a health or social care setting, including managing and supporting a staff team and volunteers
- Experience of dealing with and reporting Incidents/Accidents/Near Misses and safeguarding reporting
- Ability to assess, plan and monitor support to achieve and evidence recovery and service outcomes
- Experience of leading and managing a dispersed team across multiple sites, including recruiting and managing performance
