You must have experience of working within the Social Care or Children’s Sector. You may have experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, residential childcare service, or a nursery? What is important is being enthusiastic, proactive, and having a passion for working within the sector.
The Service
We are recruiting on behalf of a newly opened, special, independent residential school with aspirations to be the very best in the UK. Their day and residential school are for up to 30 Children and young adults aged between 4 – 19 living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviours. Set within a newly refurbished, historic setting, they have created the perfect for environment for the children and young people to achieve their aspirations and reach their full potential. Decorated by award winning decorators, it is not only a fantastic place for the children to enjoy and to flourish in but is also a lovely place to work too.
Your Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will join a highly skilled team supporting the children on a 1:1 basis. The service is 30-bedded and set across 4 properties, all next to each other and all set in their own grounds. You will help support the needs of the children/young people, creating a safe and nurturing environment in which they can flourish. We are looking for a Children’s Residential Team Leader to join a small children’s residential home for children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester.
Salary: £11.00 - £12.50 per hour DOE + £40 per sleep.
Job Type: Full-time, 4-week rota including 4-6 sleeps per month.
We are recruiting on behalf of a 3-bedded home for children aged 7-12. The service works closely with in-house Clinical Psychologists and uses therapeutic parenting programmes to enable every young person to develop their abilities and create a positive future. The home, children and team are all very settled and there is very little staff turnover, testament to how valued their team are and the rewarding nature of the job.
As Team Leader, you will play a key role in supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers, but more importantly, you will make a positive difference in a child’s life, helping to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow up and move towards the future they deserve.
