Full-time, permanent, SEN Teaching Assistant (school holidays off) job vacancy, Wrexham, Wales.

The school is based close to the centre of Chester and is close to public transport routes. The school is a 5-minute walk from the Chester Bus Interchange and a 15-minute walk from the train station. The job is a 25-minute commute from Wrexham by car via the A483.

  • £21,350 - £25,000 per annum DOE.
  • Full-time, Monday – Friday 8:45am – 16:45pm.
  • Early 4pm Finish on Monday, Wednesday & Friday if all work complete.
  • Term-time only, but you are paid for the full 12-months.
  • Comprehensive training package.

You must have experience of working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school or service, and ideally experience working with children and young adults aged 4-19. What is also important is being enthusiastic, proactive, and having a passion for working within the sector.

Their day and residential school are for up to 75 Children and young adults aged between 4 – 19 living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviours. Your Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will part of a class team providing support to the children in all areas of school life. You will be key in:

  • Acting as a key worker for 1 pupil.
  • Creating a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting the children to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Providing positive behaviour support.
  • Protecting the well-being of the children.

Location: Bristol.

Salary: £23,665 - £25,665 per annum.
