Criteria
  • A registered member of RCSLT and HCPC.
  • Must hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
  • 2 Years post graduate experience working as a Speech & Language Therapist.
  • Experience of working with Children & Young people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience of working with Children with an ASC
  • Experience of delivering provision through EHCP Process.


Duties

As their Speech and Language Therapist you will plan and continuously develop a therapy to the pupils covering their communication needs.   Other duties will include:
 
  • Organise or supervise communication sessions individually or as a group.
  • Carry out individual interventions & baseline assessments.
  • Document SMART targets for education plans, assess and monitor progress.
  • Carry out training to the wider education team relating to social communication.
  • Where needed provide accessible guidelines which can be delegated to others.
  • Regularly monitor and review outcomes & constantly amend where needed.
  • Write reports and contribute to reviews.
