Duties
As Assistant Head Teacher you will a Secondary Lead and an inspirational leader. Duties will include:- Support the Head Teacher & Deputy to develop the schools’ values and development plans.
- 50% Timetabled teaching to model the best practice and develop the teaching team.
- Communicating the schools’ vision compellingly.
- Day to day management of the school.
- Responsibility for the Secondary part of the school.
- Curriculum, progress, achievement and qualifications and personal development of pupils.
- Leadership & Management.
- Lead Teaching & Learning and behaviour and attendance.
- Safeguarding to support the SLT and the safety of students.

- A recognised teacher training qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/QTS or QTS/Teaching Diploma).
- Thorough knowledge of the curriculum and adaptation to pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
- Experience of working and teaching young people with ASD and an SEN Environment.
- Excellent IT Skills
- Experience in a leadership role and raising standards.
- Experience of motivating and managing staff teams.
